Flash Block

Flash Block lets you insert Flash content such as animations. It will play 'swf' or 'flv' files while letting you set paramaters such as size and height. 

SWF files can be uploaded or played from a link. FLV files can be played only if they are uploaded.

HotDoodle's Flash Block also allows you to play embedded videos from video sharing site www.youtube.com
For this, copy paste the URL from the Browser window for a particular video that you would like to embed into Flash Block settings as shown in the screenshots below: 

The URL's need to be of the form http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7IKRxY9LFQ

Most videos play in 320×240 which is referred to as the Standard Quality. Select videos on Youtube are available in High Quality and High definition as well.

To force a video to play in High Quality

To force high quality, you need to append an extra parameter (&fmt=) to the URL.
Possible Formats: 

• &fmt=18 :   high quality -- H.264 video @ 512Kbps; audio @ 44.1KHz 128Kbps Stereo. Best played at resolution of 480×360
• &fmt=22:  high definition -- H.264 video @ 1024Kbps; audio @ 44.1KHz 232Kbps Stereo. Best played at resolution of 1280×720 (720p)

So, if the Video URL is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7IKRxY9LFQ , for High Quality it would be
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7IKRxY9LFQ&fmt=18 (note the extra &fmt=18 parameter)
